The Route of the Waterfalls in Baños de Agua Santa is one of the most impressive and popular tourist trails in Ecuador, offering an unforgettable experience of connecting with nature. This journey stretches along the Baños-Puyo road, crossing the majestic transition between the Andes and the Amazon.
Participants can explore a series of stunning waterfalls, each with its own unique beauty and characteristics. Among the most notable are the Agoyán Waterfall, the tallest on the route; El Pailón del Diablo, one of the most awe-inspiring for its force and the spectacular trail leading to it; and Manto de la Novia, where you can enjoy panoramic views and cross the river by cable car (tarabita).
This tour is a true natural gem, perfect for both adventure seekers and those looking to relax in a spectacular natural setting, making it a must-see when exploring Baños. Pedal along this 17-kilometer route located between Sangay and Llanganates National Parks.
Our day begins with a 20-minute bike ride from the office in Baños to the first waterfall, Agoyán, where we will stop to rest and take photos. The next stop is the spectacular Manto de la Novia waterfall, where we will ride a cable car (tarabita).
The tarabita ride will take us above the stunning canyon of the Pastaza River, giving us a closer view of the waterfalls.
The Ecuadorian landscapes will amaze you as we cover 17 km through the small town of Río Verde, stopping to admire the massive Pailón del Diablo waterfall.
We will then enjoy a delicious juice and freshly prepared empanadas in Río Verde before our return to Baños.
